Our volcano experiment

Here we are making our Volcanoes.

 

First we used cardboard, newspaper, masking tape and mod rock

 

Then we painted them with brown, grey and black paint

Then we took them outside. It was really windy!

We used vinegar, orange food colouring, glitter and bicarbonate soda to make them erupt!

We investigated how far the lava would spread depending on the shape of the volcanoe. We found out that the lower, flat  volcano (shield volcano) allowed the lava to spread further.
