Our fractions investigation



In Year 4 we have been learning about equivalent fractions.

We have been thinking about different ways of representing fractions to help us understand how some fractions are equivalent (the same)



We have used diagrams, models, differing formal methods, such as division and mental reasoning


We have been using bar models



We have been proving that our methods work


We have been using Cuisenaire rods to represent fractions
