Day one of our outdoor learning experience

1. We have been showing our understanding of perimeter and area on the play ground

 

 

2.We have been learning about hedgehogs and made clay hedgehogs, using natural resources to add spines and other features.

 

 



 

 

We have been testing the temperature of different areas of the secret garden, deciding where we thought animals would prefer to be. We decided that beneath the wood shavings, where it was damp and beneath the sand in the stone round house was the coolest.

 

 
 
 

 

 

 

 

Finally we went on a mini beast hunt and found lots of bugs. We used magnifying glasses so that we could have a better look. We found some huge jumping spiders!
