Sewing in year 4
We have been learning how to make a purse/bag in DT. We were inspired by researching how Vikings made bags and pouches. We decided to make our bags out o of a material called calico. We first made a paper mock up of our design, then we practised our running and back stitch on a sampler. We have learnt how to start and finish our sewing using anchor stitches. 
Now we are finishing our final design before we add our Viking prints using fabric paint.
