Maths Outdoor Learning - measuring the perimeters of puddles! We also linked in our science knowledge to discuss why puddles seem to disappear (evaporation)!

The children used string to measure the puddles, then placed the string against rulers.
Afterwards, the children shared their results - 1.98m, 123cm, 51cm, 3 ¼m.
We had lots of discussions about converting measurements and even included some fraction knowledge!
Well done Y4 - it was fun applying our learning outside - in the rain!
