Art- To understand tint, tone and shade

 This week in art we have been learning the difference between tint, tone and shade, so that the children are able to apply this to their final pieces.

History Challenge for all of KS2 ! Your challenge is to research all about Leeds in the past and now    Then, present your findings in a creative way and send it into your drop box. Ravens water investigation

In Ravens we have been investigating the different states of water. We have been making clouds by evaporating warm water, and cooling the water down by using ice to make condensation, forming water vapour to make a cloud. We also investigated precipitation by dropping food colouring into a shaving foam cloud. we investigated how much blue food dye we would need for the cloud to become heavy, consequently the shaving foam cloud became saturated with blue food dye, then the blue dye is released in the form of rain (precipitation)   Click here

Poetry Week

 This week is Poetry week and we have started the week off by welcoming Lauren Kara to Iveson. She worked with all of KS2 to share some of her own poetry. We then had a go at writing some of our poems.
